The center works with referring physicians to evaluate and treat sleep disorders. The following are examples of diagnoses that you may see in your pracitce that can be helped with sleep therapy:
Anesthetists
Difficult intubation, sensitivity to opioid analgesia and sedation, and witnessed apnoeas during recovery.
Cardiologists
Hypertension, left ventricular hypertrophy, nocturnal angina, myocardial infarction, arrhythmias (particularly bradyarrhythmias), heart failure, cor pulmonale and increased pulmonary artery pressure.
Endocrinologists
Hypothyroidism, acromegaly and diabetes.
ENT Surgeons
Snoring, sore throat (after sleeping), and hoarse voice.
Gastroenterologists
Nocturnal shortness of breath, and respiratory failure.
Hematologists
Polycythaemia
Neurologists
Refractory epilepsy, stroke, impaired rehabilitation post stroke and headache on waking.
Psychiatrists
Depression, anxiety, behavioral problems, and acute delirium.
Respiratory Physicians
Nocturnal shortness of breath and respiratory failure.
Urologists
Nocturia, impotence and erectile dysfunction.

The Center provides a Diagnostic Report and a Titration Report if needed. We work with the referring physician and provide long term follow-up to assist the patients in managing their sleep disorder.
