Lead Sleep Technician

I was first introduced to Sleep Medicine through my husband. I had immediately noticed that in between the episodes of snoring, my husband was not breathing, and I persuaded him to see a doctor. He was soon diagnosed with severe sleep apnea and undergoing CPAP therapy. My husband was so amazed with the difference it had made in his life that he began working as a Sleep Technician. I soon followed in his footsteps. Although my B.A. in Literature didn't prepare me for Sleep Medicine, I quickly discovered just how important Sleep Medicine was to me. Between my training with a highly acclaimed registered sleep technician and my ambition to learn a new trade, I quickly began my service to the community as a Sleep Technician. Not only have I found a career I am passionate about, but I can also take pride in knowing that I am serving my community and improving the quality of life of its members.

I have always been a snorer, so it didn't surprise me when my wife told me that I was keeping her awake during the night. What did surprise me is that she mentioned that I wasn't breathing as well. She tried to get me to go to the doctor, but it wasn't until I was assigned to the sleep lab in Portsmouth Naval Hospital that I decided to follow her advice. To my surprise, I was diagnosed with severe sleep apnea and began my CPAP therapy. I finished out my service with the Navy learning about Sleep Medicine in the sleep lab. When I returned to civilian life, I found a sleep lab that was willing to hire and train me. I have been a Sleep Technician for over two years now and love it. I look forward to serving you and your community.

I come from a long established family tradition of providing medical services. The most influential person in my life is my mother, a registered nurse. I saw how she touched people's lives through her care and dedication. To honor my mother and family, I entered the medical field and enjoy meeting and assisting patients.

Receptionist

I have been with Dr. Murthy for over three years, and I have had the opportunity to watch this office grow. I am excited and proud that we are able to serve the community from two locations now: Gilroy and San Jose. Shelly and I will be the first people you meet in our office. We would be more than happy to answer any questions you may have. I look forward to serving as your liaison to Dr. Murthy. I hope to see you soon!

Insurance and Billing Specialist
tracy@southcountysleep.com
I am the veteran of the group. I have been with Dr. Murthy since he began his private practice more than five years ago. I began as the receptionist (and the only front office employee) and after a year began training for a billing position. I soon moved to the back office to serve as the billing manager. It has been a delight working for the Murthy's, and I am excited about how the company has grown and the direction in which it is headed. I know that you will benefit from the services we have to offer and look forward to having you as part of our family.
