South County Sleep Disorders Medical Center (SCSDMC) was formed by Harish H.K. Murthy, MD in 2004 to meet the growing need of sleep disorder management in
our community.
The goal of SCSDMC is to provide patients who suffer from sleep disorders with the highest level of quality care and sleep disorder management. We have a professional administrative and technical staff at SCSDMC to assist patients at the center. Dr. Murthy works closely with the patients and referring physicians to ensure continuity of care.
Upon referral to the center from a physician, patients will consult with the doctor to discuss in depth the specifics of their sleep disturbance. If necessary, Dr. Murthy will recommend a diagnostic sleep study, which requires an overnight stay at the center. Data gathered during this test will be interpreted by the doctor and if recommended, a second overnight titration sleep study will be performed to evaluate the best equipment to solve the sleep disturbance.
SCSDMC is a member in good standing of the National Sleep Foundation and American Academy of Sleep Medicine. Dr. Murthy is also a member of the American College of Chest Physicians, and American Thoracic Society. Dr. Murthy is board certified in
Sleep Medicine, Pulmonary, and Neurocritical Care. He also serves as the Medical Director of the Medical Surgical Intensive Care Unit at Good Samaritan Hospital San Jose.
SCSDMC is conveniently located near Good Samaritan Hospital in San Jose, and
